Employee Accolade // February 1, 2012
Dear Ms. McLeay:
I wanted to write this letter to acknowledge the excellent service provided by one of your security personnel at the 2300 Main building security desk, Christopher Sneed. On a regular basis, I do not usually leave work until 7:00 p.m. or later. Christopher has always offered to walk with me to my car and I wanted to let you know that his safety concerns are very much appreciated.
On a related matter, recently I lost a favorite fur vest and had contacted many people in an attempt to find it. A few days later, I thought to stop at the security desk to ask Christopher if it might have been turned in there. Even though it had not been, he took it upon himself to search through the camera video records and eventually found not only where I had accidentally dropped it, but was able to put me in touch with the person who was able to return it to me. It was a special gift and I very much appreciated getting it back.
"Above and beyond" service is becoming the unusual rather than the norm in today's society and I thought you and Chris's superiors should be aware.
