Employee Accolade // March 1, 2011
To whom it may concern:
My reason for contacting you is to commend one of your employees who consistently performs over and above the basic requirements of her position. Crystal Ballard (St. Louis, MO), stationed at the entrance lobby of our building by Allied College is the employee in question.
Crystal can be relied upon to greet everyone with a warm smile and friendly greeting each day. She endures the cold winds and blistering heat to which she is exposed during our weather extremes with a pleasant demeanor and the ever-present smile or joke. She is a breath of fresh air and a helpful, vital member of our building "family."
As such, she makes us aware of lights left on, advises us of deliveries, keeps us informed of building matters we should be alerted to, can always be counted on to do a favor, and frequently offers to extend herself personally to keep people advised of the whereabouts of fellow employees or their related traffic delays. We have been extremely grateful for her good judgment and extraordinary sense of responsibility.
In our eyes, she is a godsend. Always conscientious, proud and appreciative of her job, she is one of those rare persons who has somehow managed to make her job a "position" of true impact in the grand scheme of things. Those who are excellent at what they do often lend an air of special character and importance to their jobs. Crystal is certainly one of them. Her unique sense of dedication makes a decided difference.
You are to be commended for having had the foresight to hire her. She is a definite asset to you as well as to us and a most positive reflection of your organization.
