"I wanted to commend Mike Mewes for his actions. He did the right thing!"

My name is Chris Lines and I'm the Public Information Officer for DORA, the Department of Regulatory Agencies (15th floor). I am writing because I wanted to commend Mike Mewes for his actions this afternoon regarding a Channel 7 reporter. The reporter was unauthorized to get an employee for a camera interview but came to the building anyway. Mike stopped them on the 13th floor and stayed with them until I could okay the situation. With a reporter shouting at him, Mike explained that DORA is a public agency in a privately owned building and that their access had to be approved. He did the right thing!

We love the media and recognize the critical role they play in the work we do, but the reporter was here unannounced to me, and we appreciate Mike upholding the rules. Just wanted to give you the good word on the good work of your staff. Thank you.
