We had a bit of excitement here in the Service Center on Friday. Around lunchtime the Springfield police chased two criminals into the wooded area south of our property. Eventually they nabbed one of the miscreants with the assistance of the K-9 team while the other man eluded the lawmen. At least four squad cars were involved and with all this hoopla, the anxiety level with our staff was elevated.

I wanted to drop you a quick note and let you know once again how much we appreciate Richard "Ricky" Stacey's involvement and leadership. Within minutes, he quickly assessed the scene and updated me with the details. He arranged for the safe transport of our employees to and from their cars as necessary while keeping the majority of our staff in the Service Center. Once the initial threat of danger had passed, Ricky arranged for additional Whelan presence to ensure everyone left the office safely as their workday ended. I'm pleased to report there are no casualties!

Ed, seriously, we sincerely appreciate the efforts of Ricky and your entire staff. Friday's events could have turned out much differently, but thanks to the quick thinking of Ricky and his ability to translate information into relevant details to be shared with staff... we were able to manage through the event without incident.
