Division to support Sporting Events, Concerts, Festivals, and Dignitary Visits Current Clients include Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Cardinals

The company recently expanded its territory by opening offices in California and Arizona and now it will be expanding its services with the announcement of a new division specific to Event Services. Whelan's past and current experience with the St. Louis Cardinals (at Busch Stadium), Minnesota Vikings (at Mall of America Field at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome), and the St. Louis Rams (at the Edward Jones Dome) was the catalyst that triggered plans to unveil the new division.

In addition to standard security services, Whelan’s Event Services Division will offer ushers, ticket takers, crowd control professionals, and parking attendants. Much of the work will center on the following events: professional and college sports venues, concerts, political debates, and conventions. The new division will be led by Jeff Spoerndle, Director – Event Services. Spoerndle brings more than 15 years of operations and sales experience in security and staffing services specifically related to special events to Whelan Security.
