St. Louis - Whelan Security, one of the industry's foremost respected providers of contract security staffing services, is heading west. The privately owned security firm has announced its expansion into Arizona and California, marking the first time the company will have security operations on the West Coast. The move comes on the heels of the company's recent addition of branches in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
"We are delighted to announce our expansion into Arizona and California," said Prentice Robertson, Executive Vice President and COO of Whelan Security. "We are experiencing a level of growth that would be remarkable in any economic climate, much less in one that has forced many in our industry to scale back. And similar to all previous geographic expansion, these two moves are a result of continued organic growth."
"Under the leadership of Prentice Robertson, Whelan has tripled in size over the past six years; but perhaps no moment of growth is as significant as our expansion into Arizona and California," said Greg Twardowski, President of Whelan Security. "The fact that this move comes during our 60th anniversary signifies how far we have come since our days as a simple patrol company on the St. Louis riverfront. Our clients recognize this expansion as one that will help Whelan continue to provide the industry's most trusted and reliable security staffing services."
Whelan was recently named as one of the top 15 security companies in the country by industry publications based on total revenue and number of employees.
